  1. O’Leary Community School is trying something different this year! They will be starting on November 3rd, 2015 and will be continuing after the Christmas break! Hope this works out for them, and there is also a change to Tuesday nights this year.

  2. Please note that the Community Schools listed on the website now specify Winter, Fall or Seniors. We hope this will help you in finding the information quicker and easier.
    Senior schools may run at different times and most are open to residents of the community, please check with that particular school for information!
    Please remember also that we are always on the look-out for Committee members, many schools are in DIRE need of finding new ones to survive.

  3. 2015-16 is the 50th Anniversary of Community Schools on Prince Edward Island. Our latest book, The Golden Years, written by Susan Rodgers of Summerside will be launched on Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Farm Centre (University Avenue) in Charlottetown at 7:00 PM. This is open to the public. Admission is free. Refreshments will be served and door prizes drawn for. Come and get your signed copy of The Golden Years – a great Christmas gift idea for all the community school enthusiasts in your life. All welcome. Hope to see you there.

  4. Kensington Community School now have their own website at kensingtoncs.wordpress.com I am sure Joan and her fellow committee members will be able to keep up with all the happenings going on at their school! Please visit the website anytime for information.

  5. Just a reminder, if schools are cancelled due to a storm, there will be no Community School held that evening. Some Schools do have an alternate evening already in place, please check with your local Community School committee or class representative!

Hi everyone, I’ve noticed a lot of the comments on the pages are pertaining to who instructors are, I’m sorry to say that I’m not really privy to that information so can only tell you to contact the chairperson or contact person for clarification. I do apologize for this. Their numbers are listed with the schools, and they don’t mind answering your questions!
